TRUSTe is an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to build users' trust and confidence in the Internet by promoting the use of fair information practices. This privacy statement covers the site WWW.BRIGHTANDSLEEK.COM. Because this web site wants to demonstrate its commitment to your privacy, it has agreed to disclose its information practices and have its privacy practices reviewed for compliance by TRUSTe. What information do we collect? We collect information from you when you register on the site, place an order, enter a contest or sweepstakes, respond to a survey or communication such as e-mail, or participate in another site feature. When ordering or registering, we may ask you for your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously. We also collect information about gift recipients so that we can fulfill the gift purchase. The information we collect about gift recipients is not used for marketing purposes. Like many websites, we use "cookies" to enhance your experience and gather information about visitors and visits to our websites. If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site. Bright and Sleek does not store this information.
Log Files As is true of most Web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We DO NOT link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information, except that IP addresses tied to personally identifiable information are used in standard Fraud Protection filters in the process of approving a credit card transaction. Some third-party tracking services that we use for measuring effectiveness of advertising campaigns, may use cookies [log files] to track non-personally identifiable information about visitors to our site in the aggregate [e.g., usage and volume statistics, navigation and pay-per-click conversion statistics] to give us the information to optimize our site design and our online marketing spending.
How do we use your information? We use other third parties to provide credit card billing and shipping services on our site. When you place an order with us we will share the relevant customer information (shipping address, billing address and credit card information) as necessary for the third party to provide the service.
These third parties are prohibited from using your personal identifiable information for any other purpose.
How do we protect visitor information? The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number) on our registration or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Do we use "cookies"? Yes. To edit and/or delete all of your online account information from our database, sign into the "My Account" section of our site and remove your shipping addresses, billing addresses & payment information. Please note that we may maintain information about an individual sales transaction in order to service that transaction and for record keeping.
