High-End Features
High-Current Amplification, A/V Sync Delay, Component Video Switching, Dolby Pro Logic decoding, super-fine slow motion, and a built-in video test signal are just a few of the high-end features offered in the Harmon Kardon CP55 package. In addition, Harmon Kardon includes its exclusive Logic 7 processing technology to create a wider, more enveloping surround-sound environment with enhanced sound transitions for pans and fly-overs.

High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)
If you're looking to pump high-definition DVD playback into your home theater, the Harmon Kardon CP55 will do the job. It has an integrated digital processor capable of upconverting video signals to 720p/1080i through the HDMI output. The Harmon Kardon CP55 also offers two HDMI input switching.

Logic 7 Processing
Originally developed for high-end processors, Logic 7 processing is packaged with the AVR-146. Proprietary digital algorithms are used to create a more cohesive and enveloping sound field from the tens of thousands of currently available analog matrix soundtracks. Logic 7 is capable of reproducing either five or seven channels of exquisite sound from your two-channel source.

5.1-Channel and Digital Audio Decoding
The AVR-146 uses specific Dolby Digital and DTS codecs to reproduce an enveloping 5.1-Channel surround sound experience. The unit encodes Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Virtual Speaker, Dolby Headphone, DTS, DTS 96/24, DTS Neo:6, and Logic 7 processing.

Multi-Format Playback Capability
The DVD-38 offers a full-range of playback capabilities for enjoying movies, music and images. It can playback DVD-Audio/Video, DVD-R/W, DVD+R/W, CD, CD-R/RW, VCD, and MP3/WMA/JPEG files.

High Current Capability (HCC)
HCC is an overall design approach encompassing everything from transformer design and storage capacitor size to discrete output circuitry and minimal use of negative feedback. This enables the AVR-146 to combine tighter bass, superb transient response and enhanced presence at any volume level.

Digital Surround Sound
Harman Kardon's Harmon Kardon CP55 reproduces Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital and DTS audio at a frequency response of 20Hz - 20KHz. The dynamic range of the Harmon Kardon CP55 system is so well balanced and matched that the center, front and rear channels blend seamlessly.

Bridge Ready
The Bridge is a docking station (option) that enables connectivity from your iPod to the AVR-146's DMP connector input. Your iPod effectively becomes another Harmon Kardon component flowing through the AVR-146.

Premium Quality Subwoofer
With its superior bass reproduction, the 10" 100W subwoofer is capable of handling all the punches. Several features include: level control, high-cut (low-pass) filter switch and the ability to accept line level and speaker level inputs.

Magnetically Shielded
The four satellite and center speakers are magnetically shielded to prevent picture interference when placed near your TV or display.

Color-Coding System
The Harmon Kardon CP55 uses an easy-to-use surround-sound channel color-coding system established by Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). Included with this system are a set of colored stickers that you would use on the speakers and corresponding speaker wires, thus, making your speaker installation simple and fun.

Just open the box and you will find everything you need to install the Harmon Kardon CP55 in your home theater. The system includes: AVR-146 A/V receiver, DVD-38 progressive-scan DVD player, system remote control, HKTS-15 speaker system (six speakers, all speaker cables, and wall-mount brackets for satellites).
